About Ukraine

Geography & terrain

Dominated by vast, flat steppe and fertile plains stretching from the Carpathians in the west to the Russian border in the east, cut through by the Dnipro River. Temperate continental climate with cold winters and warm summers. Long coastline on the Black Sea and Sea of Azov. The open, largely flat terrain offers few natural barriers, historically making the country easy to traverse, though major rivers have served as defensive lines.

About Andorra

Andorra is a small, landlocked country located in the Pyrenees mountains between Spain and France. It has an area of about 181 square miles and a population of about 77,000 people. Andorra is a parliamentary democracy with two co-princes, the President of France and the Bishop of Urgell in Spain, who serve as joint heads of state. The country has a high standard of living and a stable economy, with a focus on tourism and banking. It is not a member of the European Union, but it does use the euro as its official currency and has close economic and political ties with both France and Spain. Andorra has a long history of neutrality and has not been involved in any major international conflicts.

Landlocked, no coastline. Entirely mountainous, tucked high in the Pyrenees between France and Spain, with an alpine climate of cold winters and mild summers. Its steep, enclosed terrain makes large-scale invasion impractical, and the country's small size and natural isolation have long kept it outside major conflicts.
