Entirely coastline, as an island nation. Its island geography has long made large-scale overland invasion impossible, forcing any approach to come by sea or air, while the mountainous southeast has offered further natural refuge.

About Andorra

Andorra is a small, landlocked country located in the Pyrenees mountains between Spain and France. It has an area of about 181 square miles and a population of about 77,000 people. Andorra is a parliamentary democracy with two co-princes, the President of France and the Bishop of Urgell in Spain, who serve as joint heads of state. The country has a high standard of living and a stable economy, with a focus on tourism and banking. It is not a member of the European Union, but it does use the euro as its official currency and has close economic and political ties with both France and Spain. Andorra has a long history of neutrality and has not been involved in any major international conflicts.

Geography & terrain

Landlocked, no coastline. Entirely mountainous, tucked high in the Pyrenees between France and Spain, with an alpine climate of cold winters and mild summers. Its steep, enclosed terrain makes large-scale invasion impractical, and the country's small size and natural isolation have long kept it outside major conflicts.
